2020 Round Up

IMG_7301.JPG

2020 is officially over ( see ya!)….. there was a lot that happened this past year…. a global pandemic, murder hornets, a TP shortage, and intense AF presidential election to name a few of the major events that I am sure are sticking out in your mind. Let’s also not forget all the dope things that came from 2020. In this post, I have compiled the best things I found or used in 2020 whether it was a book, product, Netflix recommendations, or really anything worth taking into a new year.

Let’s start with Netflix (shoutout to a Quarantine for us to bing watch all day)

  1. Outer Banks

  2. Bridgerton

  3. Emily in Paris

  4. Love Guaranteed

  5. All American

Books (Most of these books are in the Personal Develop category because that’s what I learn the most from. I will share my pleasure reads in a future post.)

  1. Untamed by Glennon Doyle

  2. Why Men Love Bitches by Sherry Argov

  3. Never Split the Difference by Chris Voss

  4. Managing Oneself by Peter Drucker

  5. The 4- Hour Work Week by Tim Ferris

Favorite At Home Work Outs (For most the country at home work outs are here to stay for a least part of 2021, let’s make the most of it. Also, don’t forget how amazing a simple walk outside can do for your health.)

  1. Peloton App (this app is great even without the bike. Jess Sims is my favorite for motivation.)

  2. P. Volve

  3. John Benton Fitness

Favorite 2020 Purchases

I am all about a babe on a budget, and 2020 was no different. Here are some of my favorite purchases all under $100. If you’re looking for a great candle make sure to try this one, in the Volcano scent. You won’t be disappointed.

Favorite Podcasts. (I take a daily walk with Hartli which typically means I’m listening to a podcast or book. I’m sure you already know this if you follow me on social media, but I am obsessed with The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast. I have been listening since the beginning, and it has changed the trajectory

  1. The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast (There is an episode with Ed Mylett on this show that is insanely good, and will give you a boost for the New Year)

  2. The Ed Mylett Show

  3. The Bossbabe Podcast

  4. The Brendon Show

While 2020 was filled with a lot of WTF moments for all of us, it forced us to slow down. Perhaps you learned a new skill, turned on your oven for the first time, binged watched every show on Netflix or just made it through. No one could have anticipated what 2020 would bring, just like no one can anticipate what 2021 will bring. One of my favorite quotes that I believe represents 2020 well is, “change is the only constant in life.” 2020 is a great reminder that change is always happening.I hope you accept whatever your 2020 brought and embrace the change that will happen in 2021.

As always, thank you for reading!

XO,

Madison
